These three dimensional Irish shadow boxes are double mounted and the carvings are gold painted resin on a black velvet background...surrounded by a wooden frame and enclosed with glass. The shadow box comes presented in a gift box with accompanying explanation of the Irish symbol.

The Irish High Cross...these sandstone or granite high cross monuments are found throughout Ireland indicating holy places or monastic sites and can reach up to four meters in height. Dating from the 9th century A.D. the classic ring at the top of the cross is said to be a symbol of eternity.
